 Scholarship Information:
The Chula Vista Firefighter Foundation would like to invite all students pursuing an education at a post High School program with a preferred emphasis in healthcare/public safety, to apply for a one-time scholarship of an amount to be determined on a year to year basis. Each year a number of scholarships will be awarded after reviewing all applications.
Residency requirements:
All applicants are welcome. Every efffort to award scholarships to residents of San Diego County will be made.
GPA: Applicant must have a minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA over four years of high school. Applicant must have an interest in a post-high school educational program related to healthcare and/or public safety (Firefighter, Paramedic, Nurse, etc).
Recipients are not just those with the highest grade-point average., the best athlete or most popular. Rather, they are the best all around candidates who care about others, are honest, personable and major contributors to their school. Participation in sports, extracurricular activities, community service, or having an after school job are all positives that may put the recipient at the top of the pack. |
