Roger Haley Memorial Scholarship

Named after a retired Chula Vista Fire Captain, this scholarship award is given to aspiring the aspiring EMT, Paramedic, Nurse or Firefighter who shows that they are willing to go above and beyond to achieve their ultimate goal of becoming a public servant.  This one-time scholarship is available to local high school or college students pursuing an education in healthcare or public safety.

Applications are accepted year-round, however, on June 15th the application window closes and the CVFF Board of Directors determines award winners for the upcoming school year.  Recipients are notified of their application status by August 15th of each year.  You must print the application, and either mail it directly to the CVFF (preferred) or hand-deliver the application to any of our nine fire stations located throughout the city.  All location addresses can be found on the cover sheet of the application.

NOTE: Please take your time while filling out the application – make sure each line item has either the requested information or “N/A” if the question does not apply to you.  Failure to properly fill out the necessary line items will result in an automatic application denial.
